There are thousands of registry tweaks and tricks that can help to resolve many PC related problems. In all versions of windows operating systems the registry contains values corresponding to every single component in the operating system. The registry is susceptible to damage quite easily but it can be repaired either manually or with the help of any good registry cleaner program. The following below are some manual methods to tune-up your PC with careful editing of the registry.

Warning- Editing the registry requires a great deal of care. We don’t recommend editing it manually if you are not familiar with the registry editor, REGEDIT. We also advise making a backup of the registry before making any changes in it.

How to create a backup-

Start - Run –Type regedit

Click on File option on top of the registry editor and select Export option. Give a relevant name as “registry_backup” and save the file somewhere in your PC.

Path- Start - Run –Type regedit

Go to the following Registry key:

Double click on the AutoEndTasks entry and change 0 with a 1 in the Value data text box field.

For the next two, if the dword value indicated does not exist, create it:

Double click on the WaitToKillAppTimeout entry in the right pane and change the Value data to 2000

Double click on the HungAppTimeout entry in the right pane and change the Value data to 1000

Exit the registry editor and reboot your PC.

Youfind this still exists you can try the next step as mentioned below.

Go to the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control

Right-click on WaitToKillServiceTimeout and modify it to 2000

NOTE: The minimum value Windows will recognize is 1000 (1 second)
