5. Now Select the Disk Cleanup tab, select the check boxes next to the files that you want to remove, and press OK.

6. Click Yes to proceed with the action.

Step 2-

Remove Old Restore Points

Removing some or all old restore points that your machine has create can free some disk space. System Restore utility runs about every 24 hours. The system restore feature can take a huge disk space as much as 400mb for just one restore point. Although your system deletes some restore points automatically, yet you can eliminate them manually which are very old. It is very easy to perform the task.

1. Start - Computer or my computer - Right click on properties option.

2. Select the Disk Cleanup option.

2. Choose "Files from all users on this computer"

3. Select More Options

4. Under System Restore and Shadow Copies, select Clean up

5. Choose the option to delete all but most recent restore point
